A bit about me

Eilish

I am a Level 3 qualified Pilates Instructor and a registered member of the Body Control Pilates Association.  I offer Mat instruction in small classes, delivered in a friendly and positive style. 

I fell in love with the Pilates method when learning how to manage my own back issues and stress.   I was so impressed, eventually I decided to change my career and became an instructor.  So I now enjoy combining my love of teaching and helping people with their well being.  

I trained with Body Control Pilates, founded by Lynne Robinson in 1995, and is internationally renowned as a world leading education provider for Pilates teaching and has a strict code of practice.  Their training is rigorous and challenging.  I have continued to develop my knowledge through regular courses and workshops in order to continue my professional development.

The benefits of Pilates

Pilates has been popularized by celebrities for its long, lean, and sculpted aesthetic.  But its real value is keeping us fit and functional, so we can carry out our daily lives better.

It is low impact exercise which optimizes strength along with mobility and flexibility.  

Pilates mat classes are great for strengthening our ‘core’ (including pelvic floor, deep abdominals, back and glutes), but also for toning and rebalancing the rest of the body.

There’s something for everyone, whether you have a sedentary lifestyle, are a weekend warrior, are pregnant or a professional athlete.
